Well for the last few days I've been obsessed with Katie's headbands from blueeyedfreckle.etsy.com, I put Isla, my little squirt in one and fired off a few shots. Of course there's always some bribe involved, today my little model required several jelly beans, but it was worth it.

Derek & Jessica elope at Minnehaha Falls

We started out at the rustic Lake Rabun Hotel in Lakemont, then we traveled the very windy lake road to a small set of stairs heading up the side of the mountain. Jessica traded her gorgeous beaded shoes for some sneakers for the hike up the stairs to the beautiful waterfall. The location was amazing, and they stumbled upon a log where many people had carved their names, and to their surprise, they weren't the first Derek and Jessica to visit this secluded spot, another Derek and Jessica had carved their names back in 2007.

Kelly was absolutely gorgeous at Roswell Mill. Her pink tulip bouquet was simple and elegant, the dress was fabulous. Kelly & Bruce went the non-traditional route, and decided to see each other privately before the ceremony. They wanted a quite moment, just between the two of them (and me since I was taking pictures of it) before the big ceremony. And I've never seen such a crowd dance! They knew how to shake it. The event was a lot of fun.

Wedding season has begun. The event was at 550 Trackside, a recently renovated train depot, the granite walls, archways, original wood and a fireplace have all been restored and the place looks fabulous. Brian and SaraJane were wonderful to work with, so easy going.

Engagement Photography in Atlanta

After numerous engagement shoots in Piedmont Park and around the Atlanta area, I recently discovered a great spot for photos that's a bit different. Hidden behind a fence covered with no trespassing signs we found a wonderful old factory/warehouse area with crumbling brick wall and overgrown vines. We snuck in and got caught by the owner, but he was great, he showed us around and let us make use of the fabulous area for some wonderful pictures. I'll definitely be back, since he's turning the area into an artist's community, it's a great find.
